2. What is Direct Primary Care?

Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a membership-based model where members pay a flat monthly fee for unlimited access to their provider without restrictions of insurance. This allows for the provider to spend quality time building relationships with patients and collaborating to achieve health goals. We can guarantee that you’ll never owe our clinic a copay or receive a surprise bill.

3. Do I still need insurance if I join Lunara?

Yes. DPC is not insurance. Your Lunara membership covers all of your primary care needs, but you should still have something in place for unexpected, high-cost events like ER visits, surgeries, or hospitalizations.

Many of our patients pair their memberships with a low-cost catastrophic option such as Zion HealthShare, which works well alongside DPC.

If you currently have an HSA-eligible insurance plan through your employer, you can typically use your HSA funds to pay for your Lunara membership as well. Check with your insurance carrier for more details. 

4. Why would I sign up if I already have insurance?

Insurance is important and we encourage everyone to keep it, especially for unexpected or high-cost needs like hospital visits, surgeries, and specialist care.

A Direct Primary Care membership works alongside your insurance by giving you unlimited access to personalized, relationship-based care without copays, deductibles, or rushed appointments.
